Read the NZLLA feedback to the Government's Digital Strategy (pdf)

The Digital Strategy is the government's vision for New Zealand to become a world-leader at using information and technology to realise our economic, social, and cultural goals. This whole-of-government strategy has been developed by several departments and has been coordinated by the Ministry of Economic Development. It provides a framework to encourage "smarter" use and uptake of ICT by communities, businesses and government.

The NZLLA responded to the request for feedback on the Strategy via the National Library, for a July 2005 deadline, rather than direct to the Ministry of Economic Development for its 16 August 2005 deadline. The NZLL response takes the required form of the feedback, which is a little convoluted without the questions and the key, which are to be found on the  MED site.

The NZLLA has ongoing discussion with the National Librarian Penny Carnaby regarding the Digital Strategy feedback and legal information issues in general.
