Update - 12/4/12
Due to an overwhelming response to the joint SLI S / NZLLA copyright seminar next week, our venue has been moved to Lecture Theatre 1 at the VUW Law School (GBLT on this map, and where the NZLLA Symposium was held last year) - so there will be room for all those who are on the waiting list and more.
If you have RSVP’ed and were advised that the session was full, we will be in touch to confirm that room is now available. If you are interested in attending and have not yet RSVP’ed, please do so by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
A reminder also that if there are any particular aspects of copyright you would like covered or questions you would like answered please send them this week to Gwenda.Pearson@justice.govt.nz Questions will be presented anonymously at the meeting.

The copyright landscape is a rapidly changing one. Are you up with the play on SOPA, PIPA, TPP, and MegaUpload?
Come along to this joint SLIS / NZLLA meeting to hear a legal perspective from Nicholas Wood (senior solicitor) from Chapman Tripp and a library perspective from Alastair Smith from VUW’s School of Information Management.
The speakers will spend some time answering your copyright-related questions. These can be submitted to Gwenda.Pearson@justice.govt.nz by Friday 13th April, and they will be presented anonymously at the meeting.
When: Thursday 19 April, 1pm for a 1.05pm start
Where: Parliamentary Counsel Office, Level 12, Reserve Bank Building, 2 The Terrace, Wellington
Cost: $5 members, $8 non-members
