The NZLLA is interested in promoting the writing of all members. We hope to have past journal issues available at some stage.

2009 : Mary Rose Russell took part in the NZ Style Guide preparation and compiled the  Index to the Legal Citations of Aotearoa New Zealand (LCANZ) which provides guidance on the citation of all major New Zealand legal journals and law reporting series

Congratulations Mary Rose on this very useful resource,  it assists in  filling a conspicuous gap in New Zealand legal literature.

2008

• Helga Arlington, Launch of Public Access to Legislation, 28 February 2008.

2007

• Pat Northey started the Lawhawk newsletter and libraries in 2000. It filled a gap as the legal internet in New Zealand was developing rapidly. The site was taken down in 2007.  Many thanks to The Knowledge Basket who hosted the site and paid for the traffic the whole time.
•  Judith MacDonald, Employment Court information, August 2007. This article outlines the Court website and the information available.

2006

• Mary-Rose Russell was awarded her LLM degree with first class honours in 2006. Her thesis is entitled Mainstreaming legal research skills into a New Zealand law school curriculum, [2006] Thesis (LLM)--University of Auckland, 2006. All members are encouraged to examine this excellent work. Mary-Rose Russell is the  Library Manager Law at the University of Auckland. 
• Jane Treadwell was the Managing Director of Knowwhere Consulting Ltd.
• Margaret Greville regularly writes for overseas collections on the topic of finding New Zealand law.
• Alan Edwards is offering his Q&A tips once more. The first and second have been received as at August 2006.

August 2006 - New Report of the regulations Review Committee

• Report of the Regulations Review Committee, The Inquiry into instruments deemed to be regulations - An examination of delegated legislation, is now available on the PCO website.

2005

• The Rubacki Report was commissioned by the NZLLA. The report and accompanying documents are now available. 
• Mary-Rose Russell and Jane Treadwell published Global Legal Platforms and National Legal Identity, in the 2005 New Zealand Law Journal.  

2004

• NZLLA,  "Adopt access to legislation system, urge librarians", [2004] NZ Lawyer , Issue 6.
• Helga Arlington, "Acid paper  ‘time bomb’ threatens NZ Statutes",  [2004] Law News, Issue 6.
• Colin Fong, then the Research Librarian Allen Allen & Hemsley, Sydney, and Alan J Edwards, Law Librarian, University of Otago created the 2nd edition of Colin's legal abbreviations publication. Permission has been given to include it in this site.
