Welcome to the New Zealand Law Librarians' Association (NZLLA) website. This  is the primary source of information about who we are and what we do. It is for members and others interested in our activities.

A particular welcome to our colleagues in law library organisations in other countries. We hope you find the site useful.  For research services and document supply you may contact these sites.

And finally, as an added incentive to those out-of-towners thinking on coming up to Auckland, Parliamentary library will be running their

Positively Parliament Seminar on 06 May 9.30 am - 4.00 pm

A seminar on finding, using and managing parliamentary publications. Last year's Positively Parliament seminar in Wellington led to many requests to run this seminar in other regions. To do so in Auckland in conjunction with the Law Librarian's Symposium seemed an ideal opportunity so the Parliamentary Library is planning to repeat this seminar on Wednesday 6 May.

Details of venue cost and time will be announced very soon. It won't be possible to exactly replicate the Wellington seminar but you can expect the

Programme to include:

* The relevance and value of parliamentary publications - some case studies -   mining those hidden gems!

* The parliamentary process and how it is documented

* What is Parliament & what is government

* Managing your collection

* Parliament's website and other related websites

* A chance for you to have your say - and for us to get feedback from you to inform future developments. * How the Parliamentary Information Service can help you

Date: Wednesday 6 May 2009, 9.30 am - 4.00 pm

Venue: AUT University, City Campus Conference Centre

Registration fee: $90 plus GST (Inevitably the fee has risen to cover

our travel and venue costs but we have tried to keep it at a moderate

level)

Registration form and Programme available here:
